Vantaan Energialla on kaukolämpöverkossaan n. 5 100 kpl lämpöenergiamittaria, näistä etäluenta on toteutettu noin 2 000 laitteen osalta 2G/3G- modeemeilla. Vantaan Energia vaihtaa tulevan 2G-alasajon seurauksena nämä 2 000 laitetta vuoden 2029 loppuun mennessä. Kilpailutukseen sisältyvistä lämpöenergiamittareista suurin osa on kokoluokkaa DN20-DN40 ja jakautuvat pääosin DN20 - DN100 kokoluokkaan.
