HKL-liikelaitos (edustajana toimii Pääkaupunkiseudun Kaupunkiliikenne Oy "KLOY") on hankkimassa laahuskivitekniikalla toimivan metrokiskojen hiomakoneen (jäljempänä ”kone”), jolla on tarkoitus torjua alkavia kiskovikoja.
